Second Stage Round 5: Chomutov - Ostrava 92-85

There was a minor upset when 17th ranked Ostrava (4-6) was defeated on the road by nineteenth ranked Chomutov (2-7) 92-85 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Chomutov especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was center Ondrej Kovar (204-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Matej Strelba chipped in 22 points. Guard Jakub Mrstak (179-2006) produced 22 points and 5 assists and swingman Jordan Oupoh (195-2005) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Five Chomutov and four Ostrava players scored in double figures. Chomutov moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Brno 2 and Opava 2010. Loser Ostrava dropped to the eighteenth position with six games lost. Chomutov will meet Olomouc Bbal (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ostrava will have a break next round.
